MEET THE OWNER

Jeanne Aspenson

It was a dream of Jeanne's to open a clothing boutique in a historic building - so she was thrilled when the opportunity came to start one in Ashland, Wisconsin's historic Union Bank built in 1923.

In 2024, she invited Alli Ln. Boutique and A New Season to share the space and bring women more options in one place.

Jeanne is also renovating the upstairs of the bank into an elegant, historic wedding venue called The Union. She is on track to start weddings in this location, fall of 2025!

  • Alli Ln. Boutique

Hello! My name is Allison (or Alli) and I am originally from Minnesota. My husband (born and raised in Ashland) and I moved back up north in 2023. We have three children, two dogs and have lived in five states.

I started and ran an online boutique with my friend for a year in 2022, but knew I wanted a brick and mortar location. The opportunity came about and I jumped right on it! I saw a need for the area to carry casual, cute, quality clothing at affordable pricing and sizing for everyone! I try my hardest to carry XS-3XL in as many of my items as I can.

The "Ln." in my business stands for my two daughters, Lily and Nora. I strive to teach them to always be their authentic self. To be kind, confident, and always believe anything is possible!

I love chatting with women, hearing your stories, and helping you feel so dang beautiful and confident in your body.

When I’m not doing boutique stuff, I love crafting, being outdoors, playing games and spending time with family and friends. I also love a good joke. Want to hear a joke about pizza? Nevermind, it’s too cheesy.

  • A New Season

My name is Patti Vernon and I was born and raised in Ashland - the youngest of eight kids.

My husband Craig and I have been married for 33 years and we have three great-grandsons. Having play dates with them is the most gratifying time for me.

The holidays have always inspired me to decorate. It wasn't long and I was bringing my personal touch to family and friends. I've always appreciated decor - from the past and the present. In 2016, I followed my passion and opened a store out of a garage. Shortly after, I was invited to join a flower shop in Ashland and we continued to grow. Two years later, we had an opportunity to relocate to A Taste of Wisconsin, and then within two short years, another door opened. I continued my desire to explore new products and develop my skills with decorating. I am so excited about this amazing opportunity to partner with The Union Boutique!

  • The Union Boutique

My husband Jay and I were married in 1992 in Southern Wisconsin at a historical bed and breakfast. We chose to honeymoon in the Bayfield area and our hearts have been tied to this area ever since!

My husband and I decided to invest in a home in Ashland that would also be income-producing, with short-term rentals. This would allow us to visit the area more often, and bring our five children with us for them to experience the beautiful outdoors and amazing community of people.

In 2021, out of nowhere, it popped into my head that I should open a women’s clothing boutique here in Ashland. The hunt was on to find a unique space to either rent or purchase a building. As Jay and I were leaving town one weekend, we drove by The Union National Bank Building in downtown Ashland, and he looked up and said, “I still wish that building was for sale”. Always up for a challenge, I started to investigate and succeeded in landing the perfect Union Bank for my visions: boutique, wedding venue, apartment rentals and just wait to see what more popping up in our building!

Renovating this historic building has brought so much joy and excitement, many tears, and some moments of doubt. Nothing worthwhile comes easy. Seeking divine direction is always necessary, even when “our timing” is not “HIS timing”. I am so thankful for all of the individuals who have helped my dreams come to life!
